For the vast distribution of carob moth, Spectrobates ceratoniae is a serious pest which has a specific feeding habit on pomegranate fruit between the green husk and the brown in all orchards in Iran. Iran as one of the biggest producer of pomegranate in the world with more than 700 types of pomegranate has been decided to find a suitable way for controlling this disease, assessing the quality of fruit and classifying the fruit based on quality. That is the reason of introducing this project.
